This beautiful cotton tote bag features a photo of William Morris above his famous words: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful, surrounded by a border of his Trellis design. The reverse side of the bag features Morris's signature with individual motifs from Trellis.
The bag measures 37 x 39cm and the handles are 60cm in total length.
It is printed and manufactured in the UK by Laura's Beau, using a design licensed from The William Morris Society.
Trellis was designed by William Morris and first produced as a wallpaper in 1862. The design was inspired by the rose trellis in the gardens of his home Red House. The birds in the design were drawn by Morris's friend and business partner Philip Webb.
