A charming terracotta tile suitable for hanging indoors or outside.

This heraldic design is inspired by the Rose and Sunburst tile, dating from 1861, still extant in the Pilgrims Rest Porch at Red House. This was reputedly designed and hand painted by William Morris himself.
Red House was designed by Philip Webb for William Morris in 1859 and its decoration and furnishing is seen by many to be the genesis of the Arts and Crafts movement.

Fixing Points: a slot cut in the back of the tile (not visible from the front)
Dimensions: 10cm x 10cm
