A charming ceramic brooch in the shape of a hedgehog featuring the Wandle pattern by William Morris.
Brooch is approx. 2 x 4cm and comes on a card in a cellophane bag.
William Morris's Wandle was a textile design, first produced in 1884. The design is named after the river that ran through Morris's Merton Abbey Works 'to honour our helpful stream'. The soft water of the Wandle played an important part in dyeing textiles.
