A charming ceramic brooch in the shape of a flying bird featuring the Acanthus pattern by William Morris in a purple colourway.
Brooch is approx. 2 x 4cm and comes on a card in a cellophane bag.
Acanthus was a large-scale design for wallpaper featuring scrolling leaves. It was first produced in 1875 and the wallpaper required 30 woodblocks to produce the design.
These products are hand made for us in Cornwall - there may be some small variations between each item making each one unique.
