Membership

The William Morris Society has a world-wide membership and offers the opportunity, together with fellow Morrisians both in Britain and abroad, to perpetuate the memory of one of the greatest men of the nineteenth century.

Regular events include a wide range of talks on all aspects of Morris’s life and work, along with those of his circle and those who perpetuate his ideas and attitudes. The events are varied and include workshops, the annual Kelmscott Lecture, a biennial Summer Garden Party, guided walks and visits to exhibitions and other places of interest. Members are entitled to discounted tickets for Society events and a discount in our museum shop in the basement rooms of Kelmscott House in Hammersmith.

Members of the Society receive our Magazine three times a year which reports on Society events, related events, new publications and other matters of interest to members.  Members also receive a copy of the Journal of William Morris Studies, published biannually, which includes scholarly articles across the field of Morris studies and reviews of publications relevant to Morris’s life and work. The Newsletter of the William Morris Society in the USA is sent periodically to members.
